Pervomučenika, Stefana voschvalim

This hymn to Saint Stephen, deacon and martyr, is page 59 of Father Stefan Papp's Duchovňi Pisňi (1969). Like the hymn to Saint Nicholas (Otče Nikolaje) on the previous page of the same collection, this is a saint's-day hymn to be sung to the melody, "Radujsja, Carice".

Sources

The Užhorod Pisennik (1913) included a superficially similar hymn, Stradaniya mučenika Stefana voschvalim as hymn number 53, with ten verses. However, there is no indication of the melody, and only the first verse bears any similarity to that printed in the Papp collection.
