This hymn in honor of John the Forerunner and Baptist is from Father Stefan Papp's Duchovňi Pisňi (1969).

Sources

This hymn did not appear in either the Užhorod Pisennik (1913) or the L'vov Pisnoslovets (1911).

In 1969, Father Stefan Papp printed the music and text given above (Duchovňi Pisňi, page 40), assigning it to two of the Forerunner's feast days: his birth (June 24) and his beheading (August 29).
