music (samohlasen)

At "O Lord, I have cried", there are three stichera for the venerable father.

Tone 1, special melody Vsechvalnyj mučenicy.  Holy Father Theophylact, * protected by the constant care of God, * you were kept safe and sound, * becoming an unshakable rampart for the Church. * The ordeals and intrigues of the heretics could not disturb you. * Intercede now that our souls be given peace and great mercy.

Holy Father Theophylact, * seeing God face to face and enjoying union with him now, * you are divinized by adoption. * You joyfully found that unique blessedness * for which you aspired, O blessed hierarch, * who dwell at home with the angels.

Holy father Theophylact, * leaving earth, you hastened toward heaven: * you were worthy, O blessed one, * to inhabit the celestial dwellings, * because of the exile that you endured for Christ. * Intercede now that our souls be given peace and great mercy.

Glory, now and ever – Theotokion, or Stavrotheotokion

Troparion,  Tone 6.  You tried to live a hidden life, O praiseworthy father, * but Christ made you a lamp upon the light of thought. * He handed you the tablets of spiritual knowledge. * Enlighten us by them, O holy Theophylact.
