This setting of Hospod Boh predvičnyj is taken from the Metropolitan Cantor Institute's Byzantine Catholic Hymnal for Nativity and Theophany (2007). The English translation is by Monsignor William Levkulic.

Sources

This setting was originally printed in the booklet Christ is Born: Glorify Him (1969), by Monsignor Levkulic, with the notation "Same melody as Jesus came from heaven."

It was later published in the 1970 collection Byzantine Liturgical Chant, on page C11 (number 17 in the Christmas Carols section), and in the Hymns section of Monsignor Levkulic's The Divine Liturgy, a Book of Prayer (1978).
